Unemployment above 10% in 15 states

MSN Money reports that 15 states had unemployment higher than 10% for the month of June, 2009. Here are the statistics for California, where my office is located:

– 11.6% jobless rate
– Average unemployment benefit, weekly $315
– Maximum unemployment benefit, weekly $450

Other states above 10% include:

Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Kentucky
Michigan
Nevada
North Carolina
Ohio
Oregon
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Tennessee
